»KoHsin was born in Taiwan and is now living and working in Toronto as a freelance illustrator. She draws her inspiration from watching too much television, and often confuses TV with reality.

Q: Do you remember your first drawing or doodling?

Ko: Not really,I didn't really draw much when I was a kid.I think I spent most of my childhood daydreaming. It was untill much later that I realized drawing is the best way to quickly make my dreams come true.

Q: What do you like to eat?

Ko: Stinky Tofu!!

Q: Do you have a particular style in your works?

Ko: I would hate if I have to define a style for myself. I think I am more complicated then that. However I do tend to use more muted color and I like my work to be clean and organic.

Q: What materials or tools do you usually use in your work?

Ko:I use digital media to finish my work, but it always starts with hand drawings. I like watercolor a lot, so I try to use it as much as possible. I also enjoy hand printing and craft making, so I try to incorporate various techniques into my work. And I am always looking for something different to experiment with.
